Triple Crown of Running

Double Trouble!
Hal Winton of Lawndale, CA was the first to run both the Ascent and Marathon in the same weekend. He did so to celebrate his 50th birthday.

“It was all a mistake,” he said. “I entered myself in the marathon and a friend entered me in the ascent-only. I figured I’d just try to do both.”

And with that the “Double” was born!
