Thanks Adrienne. Great question. My body is telling me no way...not a chance...forget about it.
But my mind is saying, "8:02...you can do better than that!" lol More than likely, my mind will win out and I'll sign up next year and get into the mid 7's.
Overall, the experience was far better than I had envisioned prior to the start. Loved every bit of the run. I was happy with my time considering that I lost a lot of training time due to an achilles problem. I'll get healed up, do some light running and look at things for next year soon. If I do sign up, I'll definitely be training more at the top of Pikes Peak...I lost a ton of time above tree-line.
