Not sure how there could be any confusion with registration. The qualification changes were posted last summer. We've known about the March 12 registration date for months. Like others have said, if you are passionate about participating in the races, you not only mark March 12 on your calendar but you periodically check the race website for any possible changes.
When a race fills to over 90% capacity in less than 24 hours....I don't think they need to or are obligated to "advertise". Even if it didn't fill quickly, other than opening the registration links on time, they don't "owe" anyone anything else to get them registered. If anyone wants in, they take personal responsibility for themselves to make sure they get registered. All of the necessary information has been on this site and accessible to everyone.

Perhaps "did a poor job" was not a very nice thing to write on my part. However, I do think they could have done a better job of advertising March 12th. As for me, I did my homework and signed up 1 minute into registration so I am good. BUT looking at other people's questions (especialy on FB), it is obvious that others were confused. Lynn, not looking to pick a fight, but in an age when races are filling up faster and faster each year, what is your theory to Ben's question as to why this race(s) filled up slower in 2014?
