Last summer ran about 30% of mileage in my KSO's. They are very comfortable and and completely stable on uneven gound. In fact I think you would never sprain your ankle wearing them because they are so low to the ground. BUT I ran a 8 mile trail run in them. Afterwards I had circular bruises on the soles of my feet due to acorns, sweetgum balls, and gravel. It was easier to protect my feet running uphill. On the downhills I was running faster and striking more on my heels. With so little protection from the shoe, it was difficult to avoid trauma to my feet. Would that have gotten better with more time or would my feet have toughened up over time? Maybe, I don't know. I do know I was able to go faster with trail shoes on because I did not have to protect me feet on the downhills. I suspect the second half of the PPM would be difficult. Let me know how you do.
