Been training in KSO's for awhile now. Up to 15-16 miles in them. Been a long slow haul , it takes patience/time to fully adjust to them. Love soft grass, groomed trails, but as stated by another person, rocks, roots really do damage to feet-heels. Really mesed up my heels on some long tough downhills with rough ground under feet. 3-4 weeks and my heels are still very tender to the touch. I think with all the rocks, gravel PPM might not be the best choice -only for a seasoned Vibram Runner with lots of miles in them. Best of Luck!!! In response to: Just curious if anyone has used the Vibram 5 finger shoes and what they think about them for the PPA/PPM races. I've seen lots of positive reviews on them with many people saying that they are stronger and injury free...that's always a good thing! Thanks. : )
