I always drink water with Gatorade. I makes me thirsty quick if I don't. In response to: As I understand the Gatorade thing, it is about the osmolality. Gatorade is more concentrated than human plasma and so can cause some issues in some people. The advice I was given was to drink it diluted somewhere between 50/50 and 70/30. If you take one cup of Gatorade and one of water at each AS, you will be fine. I know that when I drink straight Gatorade, it makes me thirsty.
