Christie,,,, I've only done the "double" 3x (should have been 4, but I screwed up one year)so am no expert. But as difficult as it might be to believe,,, day two, isn't that bad even know you are sore from day one. The biggest issue-- for me) is mental on the first 3-4 miles of day two. Of course it's the steepest part right when your trying to loosen up your legs and you might be thinking what the heck did I get myself into... relax,,, take it slow and get through it,,, once you hit Noname creek (for me) things seem to get much better.
