I have a question on the pace/movement of the folks in the conga lines. When the trail flattens/goes downhill, do people in the lines run? Or if I'm stuck in a conga line from the W's will I be forced to walk the parts of the trail that should be very runnable, like the flats? I learned the hard way yesterday that running the W's was counter-productive, so I'll now be power hiking those in the race and plan to run the flat/downhill areas after. I'm afraid though, that I'll be so hung up in a conga line I won't even be able to move well in the parts of the trail where I can gain time by running at a moderate pace. It seemed to me like some of the trail after the W's is wide enough for passing, am I correct on that?
