During last year's Ascent I counted 20 people coming down Barr Trail in the bottom section. About 10 of them stepped to the side on a very narrow trail. About 8 of them kept walking and 2 continued to run down. When I asked a lady, why of all days she had chosen this particular Saturday to go on the Incline, she said she wasn't aware of the race. Really? Street blockage, cones, no parking sign, water stations? I don't have a lot of hope for this year either.
