I was the last runner to cross the start line. I took my time walking the streets and the big fire engine with the loud diesel engine that followed close behind me seemed to be telling me, "Get moving we have to clear the streets." There was only a short delay at the first aid station and the beginning of the Barr Trail. What I got to observe was a lot of runners struggling. It did not surprise that, based on preliminary results, was that 115 runners missed the cutoffs. That has to be a record.
