very few people actually run most of PPA,,, for us mortals, we power walk the steep sections (and there are lots) and even when you think you can run, the crowds-- depending where you are in the line, might make that not smart as is uses up lots of energy and you will probably be passed later by the folks you passed. Just a word of advice,,, don't go out too fast on Manitou Ave where it if flat,,, or Ruxton where it starts to get steep,,, you will need that energy later. I did that once and paid for it,,, not fun!
