Wow, this is a toughie...since I am NOT a race contender and just am glad I survived last year (and finished) my advice would be: Keep moving! If you are not in the front and want to make the cut offs just keep moving. NOt to the point that you are beyond your limits but as long as you are moving you will finish (Hey, I did and I live in Florida!)
