The high temperature on Pikes Peak today was 51 degrees. When you get above tree line the wind chill could be in the 40's or lower in 2008 it was 0. Most of us have used up all our food energy in the race so there is nothing to keep us warm. I always carry gloves and an wind breaker. Just one more variable in this amazing race.
