Do I need a camelback/backpack for the Ascent?

I like to carry a 20 oz bottle like others have said, however, I wear a bike jersey instead of a camelback. Those three pockets are awesome, and just like when I'm out for a 3-4 hour ride, I can stuff a bunch of stuff into them. I usually put my water bottle in one, my gloves and a water proof biking jacket in another and some form of nutrition in the third (usually pizza for me).
