If you start that late (2 hours), the start mats won't be there anymore, so your time would be based off of when the gun sounded. The plan is to leave the mats in read mode for about 5 minutes after the start of Ascent Wave 1, and then turn them on until just before the start of Wave 2. This is just so we can cut down on the amount of false reads from Wave 2 runners who are milling about. After Wave 2 starts, there are vehicles that will want to get through immediately, and we don't want vehicles driving over the mats. Thus the mats will only be across the road for about 4-5 minutes after the Wave 2 gun sounds. On Marathon day, it will be the same way. The mats will only be there for about 4-5 minutes after the gun sounds, then we have to move them out of the way, pack up everything at the start (scaffolding included) and move it a half mile to the finish. Bottom line, if you start more than 4-5 minutes late, your start time will be based on when the gun sounded, not on when you actually started.
