The DQs in the Marathon were because the runners never made it to the Summit, but they did come through the finish line. Well, in one case a volunteer brought bib 1006 to the results table to let us know that person did not finish. The bib has the chips attached, and the bib was close enough to the finishing mats to register a time. The only way in the software I could figure out how to not list him as a regular finisher was to DQ the person. The other DQed runners actually came across the finish line. We did check in the Summit chip data and the Summit backup timing data and did not find a Summit time for them. This was done later in the afternoon when we had more time to double check things. Thus earlier in the day, those runners were listed as actual finishers.
