Tappering..... approaching the 30 day mark... HOOAH

A week or less before the race. I'll do a 50 miler 3 weeks before, a 50K 2 weeks before, and maybe a 1/2 marathon the weekend before. I'll probably run 30 to 40 miles the week leading up to the Ascent/Marathon, though the last half of it might be at a pretty moderate pace. Too much rest doesn't work well for me, but everyone is different.
