Preventing and Managing Altitude Sickness

Good point about the ibupropen...I know that and just wasn't computing it about the kidneys when I was only thinking about avoiding the altitude sickness. I do get headaches when we go skiing at Breckenridge so I'm figuring I'm going to get them at Pikes as well. Is anything else OK to use instead? In response to: Jason, Only you can decide what will work, but...while Ibuprophen can work on about 1/4 of the people out there visiting high altitude locations, it is really NOT recommended for something like the PPM or ultra type event. The stress put on your kidneys due to exertion and dehydration will be seriously increased by taking something like Advil etc. Hiking is one thing, running the PPM and taking Ibuprophen could seriously damage your kidneys. Just my 2 cents.
