Parking In General
Nearby parking is limited so plan your travel time accordingly so you make the 7am race start (7:30am Ascent Wave 2). By 5am on both Saturday and Sunday Manitou Avenue will be closed to all traffic 1/2 mile east of the start and 1/4 mile to the west. There is no parking on Manitou Avenue in the closed areas or between the start and Ruxton Ave. Cars in violation of notices will be towed by Manitou Springs Police Department!

Parking Do’s
- Read signs!
- Pay for enough time if you are in a paid lot! Ascent runners need to count shuttle time.

Parking Don’ts
- Don’t park next to a yellow curb!
- Don’t park in a green loading zone!
- Don’t park next to a fire hydrant!
- Don’t park illegally anywhere!
- Don’t block people in their driveways!
- Don’t park in a 3-hour zone unless you can break the 3h16min course record!

Parking Areas
Below are some of the larger parking areas. Please start with these! Once full you can also find parking on side streets. But again, don’t block people in their drives and don’t park illegally!

10 Old Mans Trl
Only 200 yards from race start! Limited parking on Friday and Saturday. Plenty of parking on Sunday.

Briarhurst Manor - Friday for the expo only! - Thanks Ken
404 Manitou Avenue
Use West end only! Tons of parking about 1/4 mile from race start.
Park to the west and walk out the gate and you are about 2 minutes from the race start!

Manitou Springs High School and Middle School
401, 415 El Monte Pl
Tons of parking about 1/2 mile from race start.
Walk or run back down the hill and you are only 3 minutes from the race start!

Manitou Avenue East
Park along the side of the road where permitted.

Manitou Springs Paid Parking Lots
Three fairly large $1 per hour paid parking lots only a couple of minutes walk from the start or Marathon finish. Be sure and pay for enough time to account for your trip down if doing the Ascent.
