Alex Nichols:
As a junior at Colorado College I ran 25:11 for an 8k cross country race and placed 44th at nationals. In track of this year I ran a 9:14 3k steeplechase, breaking the school record and ranking me 25th in the country for the season. I also ran a 15:23 5k this season. Outside of collegiate competition I won the Summer Roundup trail race last year and just this last weekend I finished ninth at the Garden of the Gods Ten Mile Run in 58:36.

I’m originally from Peru, and I was born in the Andes at 13,000 feet. My first competition was a half marathon in lake Titicaca at 14,000. The second race was in Meseta of Bombom and it was at 15,000 feet. It was once considered being the race at the highest altitude. This is why I think i should be considered for a competitive entry.
