Volunteer Information
Pikes Peak Marathon Volunteer at the A-Frame

We will be putting the call out for 2014 volunteers soon!

Dear Potential Volunteer,

Thank you for your interest in helping with the Pikes Peak Ascent and/or the Pikes Peak Marathon!

We are very glad that you want to help, and the best way to join our team of volunteers at this stage is to simply show up, register, and go.

On Saturday and Sunday, we will accept volunteers on the spot from 5:00 a.m. until 6:45 a.m., and then again from 7:45 until 10:30 p.m. (Please note no one will be able to get you signed up to volunteer during 6:45 to 7:45 a.m.) Meet in Memorial Hall, next to City Hall, in Manitou Springs, 606 Manitou Ave. Look for the Volunteer Registration Table, and me in a bright yellow shirt and a colorful lei around my neck.

On Sunday, we again will take volunteers from 10:30 until 3:00, but Volunteer Registration will take place at the Finish Line area, on the Northwest corner of Ruxton and Manitou Ave. Again, please look for the Volunteer Registration Table and me, wearing a bright yellow shirt and a lei.

Please note: the following must apply for anyone to volunteer:

  • You must be at least 14 years old to volunteer.
  • Ages 14 to 16 must have an adult with them at all times to volunteer
  • Be willing to do anything! If you are coming to do this, we obviously will put you where you are needed most.
  • Be prepared! We may have you going onto the mountain. Pack warm clothes and rain gear, sunscreen and hat and gloves.
  • We will provide snacks, but you are welcome to bring your own food if you’d like.
  • YOU MUST SIGN A WAIVER OF LIABILITY when you come to volunteer. If you aren’t willing to do so, then we simply can’t have you help us. Sorry!

We look forward to seeing you at the Races!
