Pikes Peak Marathon and Ascent Registration

The course for the Marathon is unique and very physically demanding when compared to other marathons. There is no vehicle access to most of the trail. For this reason, all runners must first complete a qualifying event before registering.

If the qualifications you provide can’t be confirmed, you will be removed from the race and forfeit your entry fee.

Qualifying races must be from an organized and officially timed race.

Due to insurance restrictions, all runners must be 16 years of age or older on race day.

Refunds, Switches, Number Transfers, and Deferrals

Entry fees for the Pikes Peak Marathon are non-refundable and may not be transferred to another individual.

For a $20 fee, runners may defer their 2020 entry to 2021 for any reason. Runners have until 7/1 to defer their registration by logging in to their RunSignUp account and selecting the defer registration option for the event.

Runners may request a FREE special circumstances deferment to 2021 until 8/14/2020 for the following events only:

  • Military Deployments/TDY/PCS/etc. for either the registered runner or their spouse
  • If the Registered runner becomes pregnant

Pikes Peak Marathon, Inc. is an equal opportunity service provider and a permittee of the Pike National Forest. Entry limits are set by the Forest Service for the runners on the course.
